Basemaps plugin giving an error about blendergis HOT 7 CLOSED

As explained here basemaps addon depends on PIL / Pillow you must install this dependency to use it.

Basemaps is still in developement, I haven't yet updated the installation instructions.

On Windows use the following commands to install Pillow:

blender_install_folder\2.7x\python\bin\python.exe -m ensurepip

blender_install_folder\2.7x\python\bin\python.exe -m pip install pillow

sorry I can't provide much help for this, I nerver used a mac in my life.

However Python is cross platform, so in theory try to find the python executable used by your Blender installation then run ensurepip and pip install through this exe

@Macintosher you have to use homebrew and install python
