Unable to install .NET Core 2.0 on Ubuntu 18.04 about installer HOT 8 CLOSED

Can you try installing 2.1? 2.0 is going out of support in a couple of days and we will not be adding new distros to it anymore.

2.1 installs fine, but I need 2.0.

I need 2.0 because there is a problem with the Akka.net/dotnetty combination for clustering on 2.1 that does not occur in 2.0.

Is there a way to install 2.0 on Ubuntu 18.04? The documentation indicates it should work. I am not interested in new distributions, just the distributions documented.

Yep, 2.0 will install on 18.04 just fine. https://www.microsoft.com/net/download/linux-package-manager/ubuntu18-04/sdk-2.1.202.

Sorry, that is confusing and I should have added a bit more info. The 2.1.2xx SDK is what supports the 2.0.x runtime.

I get intermittent errors in TCP when running my netcoreapp2.0 app with the 2.1 runtime, but not when running 2.0 runtime. Is the answer to my installation issue that I am going to have to live with this until the issue in dotnetty is resolved?

I guess I am a bit stuck.
