alpine linux distribution uses musl lib
I think if there was a pre-compiled duckdb musl linux aarch64
then problem of building from source could be avoided.

Update
Successfully building duckdb alpine container on Mac M1
I have updated podman version to 5.0.2
I also changed podman settings to 8gb of ram (my device doesn't really have that number)
Building duckdb took about 40 minutes.
Everything works fine
But I still think that providing a pre-build of musl linux ARM64
architecture is very important.

The crash usually indicates the builder running out of memory. Did you try specifying higher memory limit (eg. -m 8192m) in docker build?

Hi @sptrakesh
Yes, you are right.
The crash output did not indicate anything related to running out of memory. But I read somewhere that one of reasons for the crash may be due to insufficient memory. Exactly as you mentioned.
I changed memory settings in podman to 8GB and duckdb build succeeded.
I think the title of this issue should be changed
