ValueError trying to delete a rule about exchangelib HOT 2 CLOSED

This happens when a rule is disabled, i.e. rule.is_enabled == False. The server throws ErrorItemNotFound if we try to delete a disabled rule, so exchangelib enables it first, then deletes. To enable the rule, exchangelib needs to save it. In your case, the rule cannot be saved because one of the other fields on the rule are not valid.

Either don't delete disabled rules, or wipe those rules before deleting. Something like:

rule.priority = 10**6
rule.conditions = None
rule.exceptions = None
rule.actions = Actions(stop_processing_rules=True)
rule.delete()

I committed a fix to the master branch so wiping the rule is no longer necessary even when the rule does not validate. Closing this issue.
