I have solved my problem and this is my solution, in case for someone else facing the same problem with me. First, the example of "addressable" given by 6.1. Provison a Device - Modbus Example needs to be modified, the "address" should be changed to "172.17.0.1"(your docker0 ip), and the para "path":"1" needs to be added; second, the deviceResources in "GS1-10P5.profile.yaml" need to be modified too. Only for reference since I don't know much~~.

@michael Hall I created one in github and that is my first time creating an issue in github, I'm not sure if I've done in the right way.:blush:

The currently-supplied profile is for the GS1-10P5 Modbus motor.
To address the issues being encountered, I'd suggest that we need to either change the supplied profile and update the example accordingly, or perhaps add an explanation of how to amend the supplied profile/set-up to use the docker0 address and the example addressable to use the docker0 address and path.
I think there may also be some confusion as we now have 6.1 provisioning a device and two sections in 6.2 adding a device, one if you want to set up before starting the services (6.2.3) and one if you want to set up after starting the services (6.2.5) - only one of these set-ups needs to be done, and I believe that 6.1 duplicates 6.2.3.
Is this a fair assessment of amendments that can be made to address the issues you faced?

sorry, I am not clear about the rules here. Michael Hall recommended me to create an issue here and this is my first time creating an issue in github.
I am just recommending maybe some modification for the guide document to help beginners quickly pass the guide.

Closing this issue for lack of resolution or assignment and most of this has changed over the last 2+ releases. Open new issue if still a problem and update to correspond to latest modbus and profile information.
