@ReliablyAwkward Thank you for your issue, so let me briefly summarize what you are aiming to do.

You want to utilize an existing database to fine-tune AI models, such as GPT or LLM, enabling them to analyze and predict the placement of new notes. This could allow users to manage their notes in a structured manner through simple and convenient inputs, such as voice commands.

For me, this approach is indeed quite innovative, and if models like GPT can be accessed via API (I'm not proficient in the technical aspects of AI models), I believe it would be possible to create a plugin. If you can provide more details, I would be very happy to learn about them, such as the workflow demonstration with Zapier that you mentioned.

Well inside obsidian they offer different plugins for the use of API, so it's really just boiling down to clever prompt engineering and making sure the model has access to an already established hierarchy of folder placement logic.

I was trying to use zapier in way of, when I capture my raw notes on the fly with my voice to text simple keyboard option on my phone saved inside a Nameless Gmail email draft, I simply copy paste it over from my laptop later in the day into obsidian, but then I am tasked with basically having to go back and address each and every note and decide where it should go in my folders, which is a section of time I am saying ideally would be automated. I would like it so when I take the note on the fly, based on my already established folder hierarchy, it would be instantly titled in relationship to that hierarchy and even placed there, so I was using zapier to take a specific draft file from my gmail, send it to chatgpt for titling, and then send it back with the suggestion so that when I return to it, I can already have a better inkling as to where it should go without me going down these long rabbit holes that have been sucking up ours of my life.

As of right now I have access to Gemini 1.5 pro with its 1 million token limit and am trying to feed it pictures instead of descriptions of my folders hierarchy with as much macro context as possible, and then asking it to give me back a prompt of sorts that would represent all of that so I can then possibly achieve what I'm trying to do here, but the distillation is truly becoming quite the time suck.

According to your description, I understand your workflow. Here is the image to sum up:

I know your purpose is to save time, so you need a plugin to automate all of these steps. Is that correct?

Sorry for the delayed response. I'm genuinely intrigued by your idea. However, given my commitments as a full-time employee residing in China, I'm uncertain if I can meet all your requirements. Nonetheless, I'm eager to discuss the technical aspects further.

Thank you and my English proficiency is relatively average, especially when it comes to speaking. For technical exchanges, I have a preference for asynchronous email communication, as it allows ample time for thorough contemplation. If this method is convenient for you, my email address is [email protected].

I check my email daily, so this will be much more timely than discussing in a GitHub issue, as my work commitments prevent me from frequently monitoring new comments on issues.

Oh, and I'm in the GMT+8 time zone, which is more than a dozen hours ahead of the US. So, most of my replies might appear to come during the night from your perspective ;-)
