Agree. As for documenting the lens JSON format specifically the approach I'd favor is using the schema information + some additional description to auto-generate the specs and show them . That way we can ensure documentation always conforms to the schema we're using in the latest release.

I also would invest some time next monday to review the node-specs, consolidate redundancies and find more suitable property names that speak for themselves. It's a pretty straight-forward task, and I think we should that cleanup iteration earlier than later.
