I'm suspicious about the Carthage cache; the 8.3.3_8E3004b implies to me that Xcode 8.3.3 was used for the build. However, CleanroomLogger 6.0.0 can only be used with Xcode 9 or higher.

What happens if you rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/org.carthage.CarthageKit and try again?

If it fails, could you please paste the output of xcode-select -p and verify that it points to Xcode 9?

I also find that if I do sudo xcode-select -s to switch between Xcode versions, the terminal window I'm in doesn't see the change. I either need to open a new window/tab, or do something like:

export DEVELOPER_DIR=`xcode-select -p`

It is possible you recently ran xcode-select -s in the terminal window where you're having the problem?

@emaloney Looks like I had two instances of Xcode in my applications folder, that completely solved it. Thanks!
