I have a look on your project structure it is different to the default, may
be it is the problem. I will try to find time this weekend to give your
project a try, after that I will come back to you.

Sorry for your trouble. I was right the vscode-bitbake plug-in is not found the bitbake command. The setting is missing to adjust a custom source file.
I will rewrite the part that accessing the bitbake data. I'll take in to account your way of using.

Hi,
Did you opened the bitbake project as folder?
It may be that the bitbake changed some thing and now the scanning doesn't
work anymore properly.
The problem is that I haven't time anymore to support this plug-in.

I'm using this https://github.com/dev-0x7C6/retro-build-environment as my build environment. There is a retro.code-workspace, that I'm using to work with it. Not sure if this is a proper configuration.

Any news or hints what should be changed to make it work? I'd really love to use language server with bitbake.

Hi the language server must be reworked to handle with the python api of
bitbake.
But I don't have the time anymore to do it. The bitbake command changed
every version a bit and that is the problem.

@EugenWiens no worries. It would be nice however if You could tell us up to which (or which one for sure) version of bitbake was the plugin working with - it will be easier to see how should it work, and then try to port it to newer version :)

@kpochwala the plug-in is brock at the moment where bitbake move to a server system.
here some hints:
BitBakeProjectScanner.ts#L123 you can see the scanning logic. Every interaction with bitbake is performed with the function executeCommandInBitBakeEnvironment so if you get this working it should work again.
On a IoT Conference I meet a guy that suggest that is better to use the phyton API of bitbake because this API is more stable.

This situation is unsatisfying for me, but I have no more time to developing this plug-in.
