There are three different versions of the firmware for the polargraph server, for three different hardware implementations.

  • polargraph_server_a1
  • polargraph_server_mega
  • polargraph_server_polarshield

I have added some readme.mds which may shed light.

The control software is called (predictably, I believe)

  • polargraphcontroller

The polarshield hardware source itself is in

  • polarshield

It is unfortunate that you are offended by my github behaviour and the polarshield repo specifically. There are a couple of things in the vcs situation that are not ideal, and a couple of reasons why they are like that, and it is very possible that it will change in the future. I will understand if you withhold my wages this month!

(I am happy to leave this issue open until you are satisfied with the organisation of the account - it will be a good incentive for me to do it.)

Offended, No. Just confused. Everyone has their own work flow (check my blender models in my repo to see a crazy workflow). I just could not figure it out do to my own expectations. Thanks you for the explanation and updating the Readme's, it makes far more sense now. I am still a little confused, do you maintain both this and the google code or have you moved the files over here?

Thanks for writing the polargraph software. I built a machine out of old RepRap parts and tried a modified Makelangelo firmware for Pololu drivers but it did not work with the pololus correctly. I will try out yours and just rearrange the pins to match your setup. Thanks again and sorry if I offended you that was not the intention.

Ok sorry to be precious, just getting a bit tired. One of the main issues is that there is old stuff lying around (ie the entire google code repo) that is misleading. I would prefer that things don't make sense, and you need to ask a question to get a resolution if the alternative is to actively be misled. I had forgotten about the google code repo to be honest - I need to mark it as deprecated, or just dump it, and make a decision about the google code wiki.

The whole documentation needs an update really.
