Another way of thinking about what we want is to transition the app into the "Editing comment X" state. But you could imagine other, mutually exclusive states that you might also want to support such as the "report a problem" state or the "view more actions for this entity" state. So it might not actually be good design to want to support things like this...
Kind of rethinking menus and actions again -- seeing how we might be able to serve more of the configuration from the server so we don't have to rewrite so much logic for the client and then ship that to browsers...
