Currently, I'm doing this:

npm install replace-x
replace-x '{{MY_ENV_VAR}}' $MY_ENV_VAR strest.yml

Though perhaps the preferred implementation is:
EnvironmentVariable(MY_ENV_VAR) instead of using {{}}
