i can't say since i never used bromite, but i do know that disabling Just in time of JS disable some feature (or all) Webassembly feature.
ans Since rust rely on webassembly i do think it must come from there.

I do not know if it fixable with rust code, but adding some code to detect it don't start and show an error message to say that Webassembly is disabled (to new user who use edge understand it's not your fault but a settings in their browser).
