I think Mario is interested in how other applications can import/export Valentina pattern *.val files. Not an easy task because a file with measurements is needed to work with patterns.

Theoretically yes, but practically very difficult task. This feature better left for future plans (after v1.0).

one of the uses for a well documented api for interacting with the pattern format is to make a clear interface to a program or utility that is not part of the Seamly2D program but which will open, read, and possibly manipulate the pattern. One example can be found with seamly.cloud ( https://github.com/MrDoo71 ) AKA @MrDoo71
