Hi!

I would like to see you arguments in core system discussion.

I would also be interested in the development of a remote test bench (or even a remote development machine) based on Raspberry Pi (#26). I already use one myself and it works well for me.

Yesterday I talk with @lomalkin, he also want to make remote test bench and he promise to write his vision by end of this week.

I have P-NUCLEO-WB55 (a board with STM32WB55) and X-NUCLEO-NFC06A1 (a board with ST25R3916). So I can do some developments and tests related to Bluetooth and NFC.

cool news, I have the same one but have no time to start work with it. We have moderate urgent task to run our firmware on WB55 and create some bluetooth PoC. If you are ready, I can create issue and assign it to you.

Hi Pavel,

you wrote that familiar with PlatformIO. When do you think we should to adopt it? Our goal is to make easy and cross-platform compilation right out of the box.

Hi Pavel,

In my understanding, it is still not clear what will be the main operating system on Flipper Zero. There is still no conclusion in #17. Since we don't know which operating system we're going to use, I think it's a little too early to start working on the PlatformIO integration.

BTW. In #17, @reendael suggested taking a look at Zephyr RTOS. I am currently testing Zephyr RTOS with STM32WB55 and am quite impressed with almost everything this RTOS provides. I have listed some pros in this comment.

Zephyr OS provides tools for easy, cross-platform compilation right out of the box, and the getting started instructions are clear and easy to follow. So if we choose Zephyr RTOS, we won't even need PlatformIO. If PlatformIO is really needed then Zephyr RTOS is supported by PlatformIO and Zephyr RTOS based application can be built using PlatformIO.

So, at the moment, I'm testing some of the systems listed in #17 and waiting for a clear statement from the core developers on which operating system they decide to use.

Cheers,

Pavel
