I was running Flutter gallery on an iOS simulator. Then open DevTools and go to the Performance page to view the Timeline events.

This could break in a few different ways, early return or something like that.

Reproduced this during app startup.

This can happen because the framework can make multiple calls to scheduleFrame/Animator::RequestFrame (which starts the "Frame Request Pending" event) while a frame is already pending. If that happens, they will be joined into one call to Animator::BeginFrame (which ends the event).
