Tests hang in simple for loop about leaktest HOT 3 CLOSED

Going deeper into this, I found that the infinite loop is located in runtime/proc.go:1029.

Now I'm wondering if this edge case is out of the scope of leaktest 😅.

This fails appropriately - your for loop has no function calls, so the scheduler never preempts the goroutine. Relevant issue: golang/go#10958
