Text-only group MMS appear to send but never arrive about messages HOT 5 OPEN

I'm experiencing the same issue with my group messages not sending, and I'm on the latest version so it's not fixed. I think there's just a wider issue with how MMS messages are handled:

-There's this issue right now with group messages
-Messages with blocked keywords sometimes make it through when they have an image attached
-Images sometimes will not send unless there's a specific size set on "Resize sent MMS images", I set my to 600KB and they sometimes go through and sometimes don't go through.

I've had to switch back to my default messenger app, which is a shame because I could really use the keyword blocking feature this app has.

I have a related issue where sending messages to group will send those messages to 1:1 conversations to the members of that group. I still receive group messages sent by the members of the group IN the group conversation.

In my case I already had existing conversations with each member and they are all present in my contacts. This group chat was started before switching to the FOSSIFY Messages app.

This behavior persists with a regular text and a picture message.

Commit 99cea60 mentions this issue, tying it to 44c540b in the description. Both commits talk about deleting SMS threads; I assume threads as in processes, not message threads. Should I take that to mean this issue is fixed? It's still open so I'm guessing no.

Same here on GrapheneOS. Without sounding condescending (I know how hard tracking down bugs can be) this is clearly an app issue to resolve. The default AOSP messaging app will send group messages as expected but unlike Astronox the missing feature I need/want is to be able to search keywords.

That said .. Quik SMS (a fork of QKSMS) on F-Droid does work for group SMS.
