@Nolski I personally really like the idea of a Telegram group. Plus, with @repkam09's super handy bot we're using in #ritlug, it would be easy to introduce a relay between the two farther down the line.

Or do you mean like one of the announcement channels for news / updates??

We could run a telegram channel and put a sign up link sort of thing there?

I'd say one just for chatting. To be totally honest I feel like the fossbox was always a more social group. Maybe keeping a catalog of current active projects and allowing people to contribute. Maybe a newsletter or something too? Before all of this info was distributed in a social setting when we had space but now it's difficult to maintain that constant communication without some heavy lifting on part of the students.

@Nolski I would be +1 for a Telegram group. A newsletter would be ideal too (maybe something to aim for farther down the line). Are you on Telegram?

For the time being, the Telegram thinger is living here. Consider it experimental for now…

I am not on Telegram. Only IRC.

In retrospect, this issue was intended to be a discussion about web design for the fossr.it website – for discussion about where we actually hold our discussions, at least for the mailing list, we should probably use fossbox-tasks#30. Even though we started having meta conversations about it early in comments, we may want to split this out into a longer discussion in that repo if needed.
