Was the issue closed by accident or did you resolve the issue?

I resolved the issue... By restarting and deleting all the keys from BIOS.

I cleared the keys from my UEFI and I still had this issue after rebooting. Not sure what the deal is.
I am using a Thinkpad T460 from ~2016.

@garvit-joshi Can you detail the exact steps taken?
I am on firmware version 0.1.45
and am running into this issue trying to enroll my own key. I selected the option to reset secure boot in the firmware, but did not select the additional option to clear all keys.

For now, I am just dealing with not being able to enroll my own keys. I would rather not deal with setting up shim at this point. I am keeping an eye on issue #102 as well.
