I just checked and it works fine for me in Xcode 6.0.1 (6A317).

Can you provide more details:

  • which OS version are you using
  • how did you install the plugin (alcatraz / manual install)? was the plugin built with the same Xcode version?
  • if you look in Console.app can you see any log messages mentioning FuzzyAutocomplete, e.g.
"Exception while opening Settings Window: ..."
  • have you tried restarting Xcode and/or reinstalling the plugin?

The same story here:
OS X 10.9.5
Xcode 6.0.1 ( tried restart and reinstall )
installed via alcatraz
Nothing interesting in console.

Can you check if you even have the settings window nib file located at:
~/Library/Application Support/Developer/Shared/Xcode/Plug-ins/FuzzyAutocomplete.xcplugin/Contents/Resources/FASettingsWindow.nib

Can you check whether installing a binary release as described in the readme fixes the problem?

Can you post the output you get when you run this in the terminal:

xcode-select --print-path

xcode-select --print-path
/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer

cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/Developer/Shared/Xcode/Plugins/FuzzyAutocomplete.xcplugin/Contents/Resources/
ls
en.lproj

Ok, so somehow the nib file was not compiled/copied when you were installing by Alcatraz.

I still cannot reproduce it. I will keep looking for reasons this might have happened.
What version of Alcatraz are you using (it has it written in top right corner of the window)?

Can you also check if the plugin works fine after cloning it, and simply building in Xcode (6.0.1) for you?
If not, are there any build errors/warnings that look related?

Also, installing a pre-built release should help, it contains the missing file.

Acatraz 1.0.8

I have had the same problem using Alcatraz 1.0.8.
In my case when installing the first time the window is displayed correctly. The problem started after uninstalling and reinstalling with Alcatraz.

Uninstall and build it with Xcode has solved the problem.

I'm using Xcode 6.0.1, OSX 10.9.5.

OS X 10.9.5
If install through Alcatraz (1.0.8) does not work.
If you install via source - it works.
Most probably the problem is Alcatraz.
