Following up on this issue, I do not believe it is a bug. The sortID is only reset, when the Presentation Type is changed, which in my opinion is the correct behaviour since a change in Presentation type (moving and abstract from one sorted pool to another sorted pool) also should require a change in any existing sorting scheme.

Turns out the sortID was in the frontend javascript abstract model, but not in the observableAbstract model, which caused the problem...
