CounterStrike (1.6) install bug about linuxgsm HOT 3 CLOSED

There is nothing I can do about this. SteamCMD is a Valve product and I have no control over it. It would be like asking me to fix a problem with Half-Life 2 or Portal. I recommend messaging Valve about the issue on there GitHub.

Also when posting about a problem you have any kind of error message would be valuable. I cannot simply know what your problem is or even fix it without you telling me some sort of error.

The only thing I have thought about that might possibly work would be for me to get the script to download a small file directly from my webserver. This might kick start SteamCMD in to downloading the rest of the files. I will experiment with this when I have some spare time. But I have no idea if this would work.

I have some great news. I spent some time working with Counter Strike 1.6 SteamCMD and I found a workaround that appears to fix the problem. the work around pre downloads the appmanifest files first before using SteamCMD then when SteamCMD is run it uses the correct manifest files and download the server files first time.

The newest version of the script has this fix in place. Please download the newer version and try it again.
