Have you broken existing tests? If so, you're probably breaking backward compatibility.

You'll also want to add a new spec that doesn't fake search results, and at least confirm that it doesn't explode.

If you need more help, set us up the pull request marked work-in-progress, and someone should be able to help with the particular issue you're hitting. We don't have enough info until we see the code and the test failure in question.

I close this issue because chef-solo almost deprecated and a generally now use the local-mode.
