Did you file an issue at osext? The best solution would be if osext gets plan9 compatibility..
from go.rice.
They don't have issues page. Can you see if you can include that lib in your repo and edit them?
from go.rice.
I'd rather not do that, it would effectively mean that I must watch and update the upstream repo.
I think if you file a pull request with the fix for plan9 kardianos will merge it in. What is the problem with osext for plan9?
from go.rice.
I don't think I can do that since I don't have the required knowledge. Here is the error I am getting.
# bitbucket.org/kardianos/osext
../../../bitbucket.org/kardianos/osext/osext_plan9.go:10: undefined: Open
../../../bitbucket.org/kardianos/osext/osext_plan9.go:10: undefined: itoa
../../../bitbucket.org/kardianos/osext/osext_plan9.go:10: undefined: Getpid
from go.rice.
Oh... well that just looks like wrong Go code to me..
Can you try replacing the contents of osext_plan9.go with this, please report if it works so I can file a PR at kardianos:
// Copyright 2012 The Go Authors. All rights reserved.
// Use of this source code is governed by a BSD-style
// license that can be found in the LICENSE file.
package osext
import (
"syscall"
"os"
"strconv"
)
func executable() (string, error) {
f, err := os.Open("/proc/" + strconv.Itoa(os.Getpid()) + "/text")
if err != nil {
return "", err
}
defer f.Close()
return syscall.Fd2path(int(f.Fd()))
}
from go.rice.
Yup, works now.
Thanks 😄

Great!
I made a PR at osext: https://bitbucket.org/kardianos/osext/pull-request/2/fix-osext_plan9go
from go.rice.
The change just got merged in, if you reset osext and pull from bitbucket it should work.
