That last portion is a command to be used in one of the channels registered to the "adminChannels" section of the settings. Follow settings examples in the readme to see how to structure it.
Once a channel is setup properly in adminChannels, send that command in that channel. (i.e. ddg history 000000000 --before=2020-04-05)

so if i dont have permission to type in the channel i want the videos from i cant download previous videos?

The admin channel is for executing commands for channels like that, where you can't directly use the bot.
Set up the channel you want to download from in the "channels" section, follow the examples.
Set up a channel of yours in a personal/dummy server in "adminChannels" for executing commands.
Let's say the Discord ID for the channel you want to download from is 5. You would go into the personal channel you setup for "adminChannels" and send a message saying ddg history 5 --after=2020-05-06
This bot is controlled via Discord messages, not by the programs console.
