I have no plans myself to support windows installations of the python module. I do support windows compilation (for OVITO and other tools that use the C code) #6. To ensure that the code works, I use AppVeyor CI to run nosetests on windows (https://ci.appveyor.com/project/joaander/gsd/build/1.5.3.152-master) - these all pass.

That is where I stop. I do not regularly use windows in a research environment. I do not have the time or effort to test and validate gsd under real user conditions and identify corner-case bugs.

gsd is open source, I welcome such testing by the community and will accept pull requests that improve windows compatibility.
