Variant branching values when its an autoload about godot HOT 2 CLOSED

If you run the Control.tscn scene which is also added as an autoload then during runtime you have 2 instances of such scene: one autoloaded and one added as the current scene. You can see this in the remote scene view after running the scene:

So there are 2 OptionButtons which are overlapping, and changing the value of the top one is handled correctly by the connected method.

You could also change your debug pring to something like print("%-25s a: %s " % [get_path(), a]) and then after changing the OptionButton value you'll see:

/root/GlobalControl       a: 0 
/root/Control             a: 5 
/root/GlobalControl       a: 0 
/root/Control             a: 5
(...)
