Do the other database systems have a way to track which statements have been called?
In MSSQL we use the etw tracing and statement completed which gives the details of the statement.
We would also need a parser to break procedures into statements - do they exist for the other databases?
Before .NET was cross platform I would have said that this isnβt the right project but it might be.

- these would all require investigation for tracing the statements being called. if you are fine w/ these being part of this project I see 2 main phases
- besides the db function to call for getting the tracing, dotnet core already has sql providers for postgres and mysql which I've used and are very similar which matching apis to the sql server .net framework Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore see https://github.com/lastlink/dotnet-ci-pipelines/blob/master/MyProject.Repository.Test/Helper/TestDbContext.cs
else if (databaseProvider.ToLower().Trim().Equals("mysql"))
{
optionsBuilder.UseMySQL(connectionString);
}
phases
- a sqitch schema project w/ unit tests for each db type
- SQLCover statement tracking if possible.

Did anything ever come of this particular feature request?
Having the ability to generate coverage reports for my postgres dbs as well as sql server using the same tooling would be such a massive benefit. For what it is worth, I endorse/approve/up-vote this idea and would really like to see it soon.
