I suspect this is being caused by the user agent/format magic that'll eventually happen on the server that'll render a different layout and partials for a mobile device vs. the desktop. This would obviously be the first step toward making the mobile UI work :-D

We could take the dual route (a la 37signals) and have it auto-detect mobile browsing and only show the timecard with a link in the footer for the "standard view".
Is it worth considering a getskeleton-type framework?

Yerp — that was my plan. The nice thing about what I've added to the project (but haven't fully configured) is that we can load a mobile-only set of resources (much less JS, CSS, etc.) so it's faster and more responsive. It'll also help keep mobile-specific CSS separated from Desktop-specific CSS.

Lots of progress on this over the weekend. Check out the site on a mobile phone (tested on an iPhone 4 and Gianni's Android phone (not sure of the model but it's recent — not Ice Cream Sandwich recent, but recent).

I tested it on Chrome on a Nexus S running Ice Cream Sandwich.

I stand corrected. You so fancy.

Added a full/mobile site toggle:
The UI looks janky on the iPad simulator when viewing the site in "full" mode, @gf3 can you take a look?

@fermion It's unlikely. Have a good night.

The only outstanding issue as far as I can tell is captured in #22
