Had the app installed on my old phone (same handset running Android 2.3 was lost and replaced), and the online market (accessed from a computer's web browser) says it is still installed but is incompatible with both devices.

The version number 2.6.29 seems to be the kernel version rather than Android version.

The current version of Authenticator in the Market runs on Eclair (Android 2.1) and later Android platforms. It no longer runs on Cupcake (Android 1.5) or Donut (Android 1.6). What platform is Sony XPERIA X10a running? You can find this under System Settings -> About phone -> Android version.
