Seems like it might be a broader problem with icon fonts?

@ianbarber @PaulKinlan I think this has to do with font files not being served properly by devsite. The icons look fine in Firefox when served from the AppEngine staging server.

Same thing happens in IE (9) by the way.

Having same issue with all icons in FF28 on OSX10.9.2:
downloadable font: download failed (font-family: "icons" style:normal weight:normal stretch:normal src index:1): bad URI or cross-site access not allowed

downloadable font: download failed (font-family: "icons" style:normal weight:normal stretch:normal src index:2): bad URI or cross-site access not allowed

downloadable font: no supported format found (font-family: "icons" style:normal weight:normal stretch:normal src index:4)

Getting this issue in Firefox 29 on Windows 8.1, even in Firefox's Safe Mode.

This is fixed now. It was pretty annoying that I let it happen in the first pace.

Looks great now, sir! (Though it looks like alignment might be a bit off?)
from webfundamentals.
The issue of alignment seems to be coming from setting the Firefox Minimum Font Size
setting. If it's set it's likely more than 4px. In that case, it overrides the size of the icon font and causes the display issues.
from webfundamentals.
Hmm. Mine’s set to 9px
. I don’t recall changing it, though—is None
the default?
from webfundamentals.
It seems "none" is default, at least in Firefox 31. Not sure about previous versions. You can check, though, by going to about:config
and checking there - search for the font.minimum-size.
keys. If it's been the status will be "User Set".

Ah, thanks for that! Looks like my font.minimum-size.x-western
of 9px
is indeed user set.
