We are willing to keep a reference to the use of the REST API on Android. But, we should explain the differences and provide a link to the Google Drive Android API on the README.

@somayajisubs I disagree, there is the Google Drive Android Quickstart for that. This is the only example of accessing the Drive API without Google Play Services or the new Drive Android API, which is necessary sometimes because the new Drive Android API doesn't allow full Drive access
