No, you can get SocialNetworkManager from previus fragment or Activity. You can send it to new fragment in bundle or just make it public

Like in ASNETutorial in ProfileFragment.java like in onOptionsItemSelected for R.id.action_logout See 71 line for socialNetwork

I understand the sample that you have provided. The function works fine on another fragment, However, the logout function is not.

If you look at the logout function in GooglePlusSocialNetwork, There is a check on GoogleClientApi.
Since i have started a new activity, the SocialNetworkFragment.OnStop() get called and in turn called the googleClientApi.disconnect() and as a result, when i run the logout() function, the googleApiClient.isConnected() always return as false and i am unable to logout properly.

    public void logout() {
        //this will always be false because onStop() is called on the Fragment that added the //SocialNetworkManager Fragment.
        if (googleApiClient.isConnected()) {
             ...
        }
    }

Check this issue:
Main structure for frafment use and it work fine with logout in one Activity with different fragments(G+ too)
And yes you need to reinitiate social networks in another activity for work with them - but when you check isConnected it will work as should(get acceces from shared preferences)
