Agree. Also would it be worth using a test switch to turn this on, so if you simply run "go test ./..." it will ignore?

Yep. Extra testing flags are passed through unaltered:

I'd suggest short circuiting the test unless -verax is passed. Use t.Skip()

Verax tests moved to another directory. Tests may be broken, but I'm not worried for the moment.
