Missing index is needed about graylog2-server HOT 4 CLOSED

graylog2 uses capped collections w/ natural order. An index would incur overhead and afaik is not necessary.

There are even some more indexes. They are necessary because looking up single messages or using the quickfilter might take a really (really!) long time on huge collections. The overhead is not that big, the 0.9.5 server takes thousands of messages/sec.

there might be overhead.. but you need that index if you want to use a large capped collection. My example the collection was only 900megs and it took 10 seconds.
