I've added a check for the simlink so it only tries to create it if it doesn't exist.
As for the problem with the Multi threaded build, i don't think its a problem with the make file.

Could you elaborate on what you think is causing this?
From the output it looks like ldc2 exited unexpectedly when using 8 threads, but the same call to ldc2 in the single threaded case doesn't cause any problems.
