I'll see if i can reproduce it, but i think it's an Gtk+ issue.

Is the D sample a port of a C/C++ sample? If so I could try building that and seeing if it really is a Gtk+ issue.
Alternatively I could try to reduce the test-case.

No.

I can reproduce this on windows, it looks like the position of the mouse pointer isn't updated while resizing and the buttons are highlighted when painted in on that position.

I can't reproduce this with GTK 3.18.
