This is mostly working thanks to @Hoikas. The problem at the moment is that the p2f fonts don't support the extended character sets, so chat would still be limited to ISO-8859-1.
This issue refers specifically to Unicode support in chat and KI messages. For general game localization, see #12 and #55.
Both these concepts probably require better font support though...

Since the unicode changesets, I cannot start a new line by hitting return anymore (when writing a KI note). I'm quite sure the problem is related to the client because I tried the latest scripts with a pre-unicode version of the client and it worked. Do you have any idea why it's broken?
