This was more to document the behaviour than test functionality, although it's interesting that an exception doesn't get thrown in that case (Mono on OS X, right?). Assuming there's no easy way to make the behaviour consistent regardless of implementation, we can remove the test - would be good to document the differences though, and/or just warn people not to do it.

Yes, and either that warning could be docs, or it could be an invariant enforced by Http.fs, right?
