@bgamari are there any action points possible on bytestring
side? I mean, GHC Gitlab can use a label to group such issues or whatever, but IMO they do not seem to belong to bytestring

IMHO it's useful to have references to these GHC issues somewhere in this repo – they might be useful for improving the Builder
implementation.

- ghc#10120 is not specific to
Builder
at all. Half of it was fixed, and another half (ghc#10124) abandoned as a wrong idea 6 years ago. - ghc#10012 is vaguely related, but is actually more a manifestation of more general ghc#8048. Both discussions stopped 5+ yeard ago. I also do not see how this inlining heuristic can be fixed on library's side: it's GHC here, who sees a fuller picture and can take a decision.
- ghc#9992 has been fixed on
bytestring
side long ago in #40.
