Wordpress.com is OpenID 1.1, and we are still not fully compliant with that standard. There may be a quick fix, though, looking into it.

My solution to get arround this for now is storing the Identifier in the session in the authenticate request and using it, if claimedIdentifier is undefined.
That works, but I think leaving this open as warning for others may be helpful.

OpenID 1.1 support has been finalized. You should get an identifier back now. Please let us know if you are still having problems.
