Thanks, that worked. I didn't notice that is indicated in the src/Makevars files.
I would play with your simulator and I will provide more feedback. I just was starting to write code for a simulator like this and I think you have save me a lot of time and effort as tumopp seems to fit my needs.

Thank you for the feedback. I have the following config line in my ~/.R/Makevars for C++14 building:
CXX1XSTD = -std=c++14
The problem is that I don't know how to enable the installation without requiring this workaround.
