Works as designed.: Need to move the CD icon to the Trash or use the Eject command in the software. The hardware button should not cause the disk to be ejected.

@probonopd Some CDs that cannot be read by the system will get stuck inside and are difficult to take out. I can only force restart the computer to take them out.

The Mac has a slot-loading optical disc drive, and the one I have has buttons, as shown in the internet picture. When the optical disc drive's read head broke before, at least there was a button to exit.
