JSON - Icinga-Web Support about nagstamon HOT 5 CLOSED

Hi,
using the old CGI part of Icinga simply was the easiest thing to do, reusing the yet existung Nagios code. Now with JSON support it even got more efficient. If anybody has a working REST solution it is surely worth a thought. Just one question: is it also possible via REST to trigger certain actions like acknowledgement and the like?

I think that could be the showstopper. Because I don’t find anything about triggering actions.
But I will ask the icinga guy's about that and I will post the news.

i just got answer from the icinga guy's. It is possible. :)
But it is not well documented.
I will search in the code for the url's. You would need the ack and downtime url? Is that right?
Is it still a good idea? :)

As the JSON CGI method works pretty well, is supported in the future and is well documented I see no advantage in changing to REST method. Instead of porting it I would better care of other issues.
