Sorry about this, it's on my TODO list to fix -- I have some code on a branch. I'll get that finished within the next couple days.
Btw, thanks for the detailed writeup. You're right, except I'd rather not create a new sender object -- rather, allow the notice to override the sender's configured api key.

Thanks. We'll likely release 1.10 in a week or two -- there are several new features in it, so I want to do a bit more testing first.
