You can see i only used fjs to validate... and then create an (also fast) compiled transcoder to decode/encode the json in question. No big deal because I can just add an format:lambda:True to fjs... but it would be nice if it just silently ignored unknown formats if formats==None ... to be fully compatible with the previous behavior (2.13).
(Also a format-transcoder is a super cool feature ...)

This is intended behaviour, not a bug.
But there is definitely bug with the message, usage of %s with format. Fixed in master.
