Datatable just displaying loading about ignited-datatables HOT 4 CLOSED

Fixed it with few modifications. First i replaced $this->ci->input->post() with $this->ci->input->get_post() because CI csrf_protection is throwing 500 internal server error from ajax request. Second i changed $sSearch = $this->ci->db->escape($this->ci->input->post('sSearch')); to $sSearch = $this->ci->input->post('sSearch'); on line 290 i got that from http://codeigniter.com/forums/viewthread/160896/P340/#1013662.

My question now is, is the data escaped?

Very good point! Yes, according to the documentation of Active Record on Codeigniter the where() method automatically escapes the data. Go to the section on $this->db->where()

The escaping of data can be safely removed, and having it there could potentially caused problems with things being escaped twice, depending upon whether the where() method escapes blindly or not...

Is there an easy way with the Library to disable escaping in the select query ?
