The error you're getting is because you're compiling in debug mode. When in debug mode, you need to run ngrok from it's root directory. (Invoke it with bin/ngrok). This is for ease of development of the assets (you can modify assets like the css/javascript without recompiling ngrok this way). When in release mode, the assets are compiled into the binary so that you can run the binary anywhere. This is documented in the ngrok developer's guide. Compile in release mode with:
make release-client
Regarding ARM specifically: Absolutely! ngrok compiles and runs correctly on ARM/linux. I actually run and develop it on my chromebook. There are already release builds of Linux/ARM ngrok that are hosted, I just haven't updated the website yet with links to them. You can get latest build here:
