what's the scope for implementing this issue? I agree 100% the UX is confusing and it's where I've hit a snag
from themis-contract.
Having done more signing now I actually kinda like the way it is implemented. Agree it's confusing and docs could probably handle that ... I don't think that 1) would should get rid of IDs or 2) rely only on email.
wrt to 2), the email I setup my signature profile with may not be the one I want to sign a particular contract with ... and so for 1) the "themis sign --as someID" works quite well. AFAICT it used the active profile which is 👌
there's an argument to be made that an individual would have >1 profiles with different emails and possibly different signatures
from themis-contract.
